Studio in a School

Studio in a School places professional working artists in elementary and middle schools classes in the New York City School District for long-term residencies.
A unique aspect of the program is that elementary school teachers learn along with the kids so that they can carry out some of the art teaching methods in the classroom after the artist's tenure is up.

The program is supported by major corporate sponsors in New York City and each year the organization sponsors a major exhibition of visual art which is a highlight for students and parents.
