Partners in Design was asked to develop innovative ways to tell the story of the sustainable building materials and methods used in the construction and renovation of two schools in a district located just north of Seattle. Important themes included the use of recycled and sustainable building materials, water conservation, siting and energy conservation, daylighting, composting, and ventilation. A primary goal was to tell these stories in a way that would enliven these concepts for school visitors and students as well as offer teachers the opportunity to supplement their lessons.
